Annie Red Shirt - Sioux. Border: red with illustrations of feathers, an arrow and head-dress and calendar: April, May and June. In the corner of the image: 'Copyright 1900. Frank A. Rinehart. Omaha'. Frank A. Rinehart is noted for his photography of Americans Indians at the Indian Congress held in conjunction with the Trans-Mississippi and International Exposition in Omaha. After the event, Rinehart travelled the West for two years photographing leaders who had been unable to attend the event. Part of a scrapbook compiled by Alfred James Hipkins and John A. Hipkins for Jane Souter Hipkins.
